Drew Saad was appointed Head of Strategic Planning & Execution in September 2015.  Drew and his team work closely with CEO Jeff Dailey and the executive team to define the long-term strategic plan for Farmers and ensure coordinated execution across the enterprise.  Drew also serves as an advisor to Jeff and supports the CEO office on business matters with external stakeholders such as investors and management consultants.

Drew launched his career at Zurich North America (ZNA) as an Associate in their rotational management training program, which encompassed classroom training and field assignments in underwriting, risk engineering, and claims.  He then served as an analyst for ZNA’s Strategy & Operational Planning group, largely focused on projects tied to underwriting and pricing strategy.  Drew later joined Internal Consulting (iCON) as the first U.S.-based member of Zurich’s global consulting team; this included a year-long assignment in Moscow to develop the commercial lines strategy for Zurich Russia, as well as architect their finance controls and methodologies.  Drew then moved to Dubai, UAE as Strategic Assistant to the CEO of Middle East & Africa, which included responsibility for Zurich’s businesses in Turkey, Morocco, South Africa, and the Middle East.  Major projects included first-mover strategy for the Direct channel in Turkey, launch of Global Corporate in South Africa, creation of a hub & spoke operating model for the Middle East, market entry strategy for Saudi Arabia, distribution strategy for commercial lines expansion in Morocco, and the development of bancassurance partnerships across the regional footprint.  In January 2014, Drew moved back to his hometown of Los Angeles to become Jeff Dailey’s Strategic Assistant.

Drew is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Finance.
